For the program of the EMN Bangkok Meeting 2015  is available, please click: Scientific Program

The EMN Meetings grew out of a small workshop series that began in 2008 at a traditional villa in Orlando, Florida. Over the next three years, six additional successful workshops were organized on various focus topics in materials science, and grouped under the title of “Villa Conference” in honor of the original 2008 Orlando meeting. The Villa Conference series has grown rapidly beyond the traditional villa setting, continuing to attract highly-quality contributions from members of the international scientific and engineering communities.  In 2012 the first Conference with a broader theme of Energy, Materials and Nanotechnology was held. The EMN meetings now become annual gatherings around the globe, taking place at USA (Orlando and Las Vegas), Mexico (Cancun), China (Beijing, Chengdu, and Hongkong), Thailand (Phuket), Turkey (Istanbul), and Spain.

The EMN Bangkok Meeting 2015 will take place on November 10 to 13, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. And it will continue providing interdisciplinary forum for the open communication in understanding physical, chemical, and biological materials of any compositions and morphologies, including carbon nanotubes, graphene, nanoparticles, nanowires, and quantum dots. Materials research, the sciences and technologies for the generation, processing, and fabrication of materials, is where disciplines merge and where they diverge into a remarkable range of applications from electronics to health care that touch, or will soon touch, the lives of millions.

The EMN Bangkok Meeting 2015 will not only be a time to enjoy the company of fellow researchers in the field, but also a time to have fun with friends and family! In Thai, Bangkok is known as the “City of Angels” which is the capital and largest city of Thailand, a magnetic and impressive city with many attractions for travelers. It is possible to find food and goods from all over Thailand in Bangkok. One can enjoy Wat Phrakaew and Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha and the temple complex of Wat Pho, etc. Bangkok offers a snap-shot of the cultural makeup of Thailand, since it is inhabited by people from throughout the country.

We look forward to having the pleasure welcoming you to the EMN Bangkok Meeting 2015.
